Hanging Rock Views - Queen Suite

The perfect spot for a lovely weekend. Positive: The serenity Negative: Nothing, except the chilly weather!

Our stay at Hanging Rock Views exceeded all of our expectations, and these were based on information given by a relative who had previously stayed here. It started with the ease of booking, a quick phone call to Chris, that was answered quickly and efficiently, when I had a query. Email confirmation was spot on and emails prior to arrival with instructions and access information made finding H.R.V a breeze. Everything that we could have wanted was at out fingertips in our rook, the fridge was stocked and the amenities were spotless. Also, the community kitchen / dining area had everything else that may have been needed. To be fair, we are both in our late 70's, and the quietness suited us perfectly, but there is so much common area space that a large group would not have affected us. The kangaroos were a welcome sight, as was the open grassland around the building. Woodend and Hanging Rock were a mere 10-15 minutes away. Hanging Rock was a worthwhile experience and not beyond most people's ability to climb, just allow a little extra time as needed. It has been there a long time, and a few minutes more to get to the top doesn't mean you will miss anything. We had three most enjoyable days at Hanging Rock Views and would rate it 5/5 for the duration of our stay. IDB

A beautiful space, well thought out and has everything you need. Positive: The breakfast pack was very welcome: the sourdough, eggs, tomatoes thank you. The bacon was ho hum. The extras like cereal, milk and nice coffee machine were also great. We used the BBQ area and loved watched the kangaroos from there. The bathroom was large and luxurious and I really enjoyed having a bath in the lovely separate bathroom. There were extras like candles and a few toiletries too. Negative: We were told on a rainy day that we could check in at 1pm when it was already nearly 2pm when we got the message. I thought check in was 2pm but the listing said 3pm so we were driving around waiting til then. It would have been nice if we had that message earlier. The artificial smells from Ambi Pur and sticks in perfumed bottles everywhere was a bit too much. We had to place them outside for our stay.
